How timetable alarms work

Understand when reminders can—and cannot—sound.

Local time

Task times use the device’s local timezone. An end time earlier than its start is treated as the following day. Check your timetable after travelling or changing the device clock.

Sound needs your interaction

Press Start reminders to allow browser audio. Test task and break sounds in Settings and check both site and device volume.

Keep the page open

Closing the browser, sleeping or locking the device, battery-saving settings and background restrictions can prevent or delay reminders. Keep the main page open and your device awake.

Notifications and wake lock

Notification permission and Keep screen awake are optional. Support varies by browser and device. A wake lock may release when the page is hidden; it cannot wake a sleeping device.

If an alarm is missed

Check sound, permissions and the timetable date, then test while the page is visible. Use a separate device alarm for any reminder where a missed alert would matter.
